Mission Statement
At Bush Racing Stable, we believe the thrill of Thoroughbred racing should be within everyone’s reach. Our mission is to make ownership exciting, affordable, and hassle-free through fractional partnerships that deliver all the fun, and potential profit, of the “Sport of Kings.”
With Bush Racing, partners enjoy the action, the community, and the shared pride of seeing our horses cross the finish line first – without carrying the full financial burden of ownership.
Our Story
Bush Racing Stable was founded in 2004 by Bryan Bushey with a simple goal: to make Thoroughbred ownership more accessible, transparent, and rewarding. What began with the successful claim of Golden Nicolas at Penn National has grown into a respected racing operation known for its smart acquisitions and partner-focused approach.
For nearly two decades, Bush Racing built its foundation alongside trainer Les Stickler Jr., whose hands-on approach and horsemanship helped shape our early success. As the stable has grown, so too has our reach – expanding across the Mid-Atlantic region with multiple trainers now conditioning Bush Racing horses. Our primary trainer, Tim Kreiser at Penn National Race Course, leads the stable with a proven record of success and a deep understanding of how to get the best from each horse.
Today, David Bushey plays a key leadership role as an advisor and manager, guiding the stable’s claiming strategy, racing operations, and growth. Under his direction, Bush Racing continues to combine sharp analysis, teamwork, and passion to create a winning experience for every partner.
Together, the Bushey family and our dedicated team of trainers and partners continue to deliver what makes this sport special – real ownership, real action, and real fun at an affordable cost.
