Bryan Bushey, Managing Partner

Bush Racing Stable is co-managed by Bryan Bushey, a horseman with over 30 years of handicapping, owning, and thoroughbred racing experience.  The stable got off to a great start back in 2004 when his first claim, Golden Nicolas, won his first two races for our stable and was a 7-time winner overall in just over one year with us.  In just 8 years Bryan has helped Bush Racing win over 30 races, amass a 20% win percentage, and have starters finish in the money at a 50% rate.  His horses have raced at tracks throughout the Mid-Atlantic including, Penn National, Charles Town, Parx, Laurel, and Delaware Park.

David Bushey, Managing Partner

Growing up at the racetrack, a love for the horses began at a very young age for David, Bryan’s son.  Now a co-manager of Bush Racing Stable, David brings many years of horse racing experience at not only Penn National but tracks around the mid-atlantic.  Achievements consist of; in 2010 a $5,000 claiming partnership that purchased Z’Bullseye.  Bull went on to win 4 of his next 5 starts including two first level allowance races at Charles Town and earned over $60,000 for the partnership in just a short amount of time.

Lester Stickler Jr., Trainer

Learning the ropes from his dad Les Stickler Sr., Les Jr. grew up on the backside of the racetrack. He started his career shoeing horses as a licensed Farrier at Penn National. Les now has over 12 years of training experience including training graded stakes runner and winners. Les takes a hands-on approach at working with the horses and is a very hard worker at his job.  When not racing or training horses, Les enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and golfing with friends.
