Bryan Bushey, Co-Founder & Owner
Bush Racing Stable is co-managed by Bryan Bushey, a horseman with over 30 years of handicapping, owning, and thoroughbred racing experience. The stable got off to a great start back in 2004 when his first claim, Golden Nicolas, won his first two races for our stable and was a 7-time winner overall in just over one year with us.
David Bushey, Co-Founder & Owner
Growing up at the racetrack, a love for the horses began at a very young age for David, Bryan’s son. Now a co-manager of Bush Racing Stable, David brings many years of horse racing experience at not only Penn National but tracks around the mid-Atlantic. Achievements consist of; in 2010 a $5,000 claiming partnership that purchased Z’Bullseye. Bull went on to win 4 of his next 5 starts including two first-level allowance races at Charles Town and earned over $60,000 for the partnership in just a short amount of time.
Tim Kreiser, Trainer – Penn National
Tim Kreiser is a multiple stakes-winning trainer based at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, PA. Tim’s training career started in 1993 with just a few horses and has since expanded to saddling over 500 starters per year. He’s currently the leading trainer in both wins and purse money earned at Penn National. In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his children, hunting, and golfing.
Anthony Farrior, Trainer – Laurel Park/Charles Town
Antony Farrior is a thoroughbred horse trainer based out of Laurel, Maryland. Anthony got his start in 2011 at Mountaineer Park with a small stable of horses and has quickly become one of the leading trainers in the mid-Atlantic, finishing in the top 10 in total wins across all of North America in 2022, including capturing the leading trainer title at Charles Town. He has horses based at both Laurel Park and Charles Town.
Kate Demasi, Trainer – Parx Racing
Kate Demasi is one of the most respected trainers at Parx Racing, where she is also a longtime board member of the PTHA. She saddled her first winner in 1984 and has since gone on to win over 1,700 races in her career including several stakes races. Her expertise with racehorses has regularly propelled her to the top 10% of trainer standings and she’s made history as the first female trainer to be inducted into the Parx Hall of Fame. She and her husband Greg Demasi have horses based at Parx Racing and Penn National.
Ray Handal, Trainer – Aqueduct/Belmont/Saratoga
Ray got his first job in racing as a hot walker at Calder Race Course in South Florida and was instantly hooked. In 2004 he was sent to Colonial Downs and later became a groom for Jonathan Shepard and moved to Saratoga for the upcoming meet. Since his time working for Jonathan Shepard he’s had the opportunity for many great horsemen including Michael Matz, Kenny McPeek, Christophe Clement, Anthony Dutrow, and Tom Morley. Ray resides on Long Island, NY with his girlfriend and young daughter.
