David Bushey
Co-Founder & Owner
Growing up at the racetrack, David developed his passion for horse racing at a very young age alongside his father, Bryan Bushey, founder of Bush Racing Stable. Some of his earliest memories are built around trips to the track, watching races, and learning the business from his father’s passion and dedication to the sport.
After years of advising and supporting the operation, David has taken over the day-to-day management of Bush Racing Stable while continuing the vision and values that have guided the stable since its founding in 2004. His experience spans all aspects of the operation, from racing strategy and partnership development to supporting the barn team and building relationships with owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic racing community.
Today, David is focused on building upon the legacy of Bush Racing Stable by creating opportunities for partners to experience the excitement of racehorse ownership while maintaining the commitment to excellence, transparency, and horse care that has defined the stable for more than two decades.
Tim Kreiser
Trainer – Penn National
Tim Kreiser is a multiple stakes-winning trainer based at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, Pennsylvania, with more than three decades of experience developing and campaigning successful racehorses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Tim began his training career in 1993 with a small stable and has built one of the most respected operations at Penn National, consistently competing at the highest level while conditioning hundreds of starters each year. Known for his horsemanship, attention to detail, and ability to get the most out of each horse, Tim has earned a reputation as one of the track’s top trainers.
Over the years, Tim has achieved numerous stakes victories and has consistently ranked among the leading trainers at Penn National in both wins and purse earnings. His commitment to the horses, his owners, and his dedicated barn team has been a cornerstone of his long-standing success.
Kieron Magee
Trainer – Laurel Park
Kieron Magee is a leading thoroughbred trainer based at Laurel Park in Maryland, recognized as one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most successful and consistent conditioners. With decades of experience, Kieron has built a reputation for developing competitive racehorses and excelling with both claiming and allowance runners.
Known for his horsemanship, attention to detail, and high win percentage, Kieron has earned numerous training titles and stakes victories while consistently ranking among the leading trainers in the region. His success at Laurel Park and throughout Maryland racing has made him a trusted choice for owners seeking a competitive and professionally managed stable.
Anthony Farrior
Trainer – Laurel Park/Charles Town
Anthony Farrior is a highly accomplished thoroughbred trainer based in Laurel Park and Charles Town, with a growing reputation as one of the leading conditioners in the Mid-Atlantic racing circuit.
Anthony began his training career in 2011 at Mountaineer Park with a small stable of horses and quickly built his operation through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to developing successful racehorses.
In 2022, Anthony ranked among the top 10 trainers in total wins across all of North America and captured the leading trainer title at Charles Town. Today, he maintains a strong racing operation with horses competing at both Laurel Park and Charles Town, continuing to produce consistent results at some of the region’s premier tracks

Bryan Bushey
Founder of Bush Racing Stable
In 2004, Bryan Bushey founded Bush Racing Stable with a single claimed racehorse and a dream. What began as a “one-horse stable” grew into one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most respected racing operations. Over the years, the stable became a consistent top owner at Penn National, captured the track’s Leading Owner title, and campaigned numerous stakes winners, graded stakes winner, and Persie, National Claiming Horse of the Year, who now enjoys retirement at Old Friends in Kentucky.
Bryan believed racing was built on people. He was deeply grateful for the trainers, jockeys, grooms, hotwalkers, exercise riders, veterinarians, farriers, and barn staff whose dedication made every success possible. To him, they weren’t just part of the team. They were family.
While he loved the winner’s circle, where he became known for his year-round plaid shorts and signature thumbs-up, Bryan was happiest in the barn. Whether feeding carrots to the horses, checking in with the staff, or hosting his legendary “Sausage Saturdays,” he found joy in the everyday moments and the relationships that made the sport so special.
Bryan’s greatest legacy isn’t measured by trophies or purse earnings, but by the people he brought together and the culture he created at Bush Racing Stable. His passion, generosity, integrity, and unwavering love for Thoroughbred racing continue to guide our stable today.
